Ola Electric races to file DRHP in two weeks

Bhavish Aggarwalled Ola Electric aims to file draft share sale papers in the next two weeks, two people aware of the matter said, ahead of the electric two-wheeler maker's plans to go public early next year.
The company is also pressing ahead with an aggressive retail strategy, including launching products at a discount and cutting prices of current products, trying to consolidate its market position ahead of its listing.
According to the people cited above, the company wants to file its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) before December 20, before bankers and financial market participants break for year-end holidays. This deadline, one of the two people said, was critical for the initial public offering (IPO) to happen before next year's general elections.
Ola declined to offer a comment on Mint's queries.
