'IT WOULD BE A SHAME IF OUR FILM WASN'T MADE'
Hindustan Times
|August 16, 2025
Despite the wave of criticism that accompanied The Kerala Story's (2023) two National Film Award wins earlier this month, actor Adah Sharma is unwavering in her defence of her film.

"Everyone is allowed to have their opinion. I think it would have been shameful not to make this film," she says. The film is based on the accounts of young women who were allegedly radicalised, trafficked and forced into terrorist organisations. Adah shares, "I met 25 of those girls; our film is a diluted version of the horrors they went through."
