It's spirituality in top gear at the Mahakumbh Mela as senior sadhus harness the zip, zap, zoom factor to ride their way into the hearts of devotees in luxury vehicles like Mercedes Benz SUVs, Rolls Royces, Land Rover Defender and Audi on the VIP streets of the tent city, revving up reverence in style.

Hyundai Creta, Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuners, Innovas, Mahindra Xylos and Tata Safaris are also among the other high-end cars preferred by the sadhus and their followers who opt for the fast lane at the mega event.

A majority of sadhus seem opt for either white or saffron for the vehicles as these two colours are commonly associated with the ascetics and Sanatan Dharma.

Most such vehicles sport wide nameplates, proudly announcing the posts of the sadhus or the organisations to which they belong.
