Judo coach gets lifer for raping 10-year-old

A special court in Meerut district sentenced a judo coach, Manish alias Max, to life imprisonment until his last breath for the brutal rape of a 10-year-old judo player at a school in the Kankarkheda area.

The additional district and sessions judge (POCSO Act-2), Sangeeta, also imposed a fine of 50,000 rupees on the convict.
According to the case details, the convict, a resident of Anoopnagar Fazalpur under the Kankarkheda police station jurisdiction, committed the crime on June 2, 2023, within the school premises where the victim attended judo coaching.
According to the prosecution, the victim's father lodged a complaint on June 10, 2023, accusing Manish of rape, violations under the POCSO Act, and issuing death threats.
