KEY ACCUSED IN INTER-STATE CYBER FRAUD RACKET ARRESTED AT DELHI AIRPORT

The Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a 36-year-old man, alleged to be the mastermind of a massive interstate cyber fraud racket, from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IG), an officer on Sunday said, adding that the arrest was made under a Look Out Circular issued earlier in connection with a case involving fake loan apps and large-scale financial fraud.

“The key accused, Abhishek Agarwal, a chartered accountant by profession, had set up nearly 35 to 40 shell companies —13 in his own name and 28 in his wife’s name — many of which had Chinese nationals as co-directors. These companies were used to route and launder over ₹750 crore in suspicious transactions, which are now under investigation. He was arrested at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Saturday,” said Navneet Bhullar, senior superintendent of police (STF).
