Two arrested in Koderma for Class 10 paper leak

Koderma Police on Friday arrested two people after registering an FIR (first information report) at the Markacho police station in connection with the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Class 10 paper leak case, officials close to the matter said.

Koderma superintendent of police (SP) Anudeep Singh told Hindustan Times while two people had been arrested, several others had been detained, and their details would be shared later.

State school education and literacy department secretary Uma Shankar Singh confirmed the development, saying that the police detained three people from Koderma, Deoghar, and Hazaribagh.

He said that though JAC officials were taking action, he had directed DCs and SPs of all districts to alert cyber cells to handle those spreading rumours through social media.

"The direction was issued after I was informed of rumours regarding the leak of Sanskrit, Physics, and Mathematics papers," the secretary said.
