Rise In Murders': 18 IPS Including SSP And 3 City SPs Of Patna Transferred

In the face of 126 murders in the last five months in Patna alone, giving the Opposition the ammunition to target the government over law and order, the Bihar government on Saturday carried out yet another police reshuffle, which includes shifting of Patna SSP Aakash Kumar within six months of his posting.
PATNA: Overall, 18 police officers have been transferred, including Samastipur SP Ashok Mishra, who has been sent to the special branch in Patna.
According to the transfers effected today, superintendents of police (SPs) Jehanabad, Samastipur, Jamui, Purnea, Supaul besides three City SPs of Patna have been replaced.
