Days after a CRPF jawan was martyred and two more officers were grievously injured in IED blasts late Friday evening, CPI (Maoist) extremists burnt down a mobile tower and the generator set at Kolbonga village in West Singhbhum district in the early hours of Sunday, police said.
According to officials, a 20-member armed group of Maoists targeted the mobile tower, generator, and the system to disrupt the communication network in the dense hilly jungles of remote areas in the Saranda Reserve Forest, aiming to hamper ongoing police operations.
