Maha-based scrap dealer abducted from Patna, body recovered in Jehanabad

The body of a Maharashtra-based scrap dealer who had been kidnapped from the state capital a few days back was found at National Highway-33 falling under Bihar's Ghosi police station area under mysterious circumstances, police said on Tuesday.
PATNA:
Scrap dealer Laxman Sadhu Sinde (55) from Pune was allegedly kidnapped, murdered and later his body was dumped in a road side ditch between Jhumki-Manpur village in Jehanabad district.
According to Jehanabad SP Arvind Pratap Singh, the Ghosi police had on the morning of April 12 recovered an unidentified body which had multiple injury marks on the body, including back and feet.
"The body was preserved in mortuary for 72 hours for identification after the postmortem. Police were all set to dispose the body on Monday. Hours before a police team of Airport police station (Patna) arrived and informed that the body was of Laxman Sadhu Sinde, who was abducted from Patna on April 11," said the SP, adding that incident was being jointly investigated by Patna, Nalanda and Jehanabad police.
Talking with HT, the Jehanabad SP said that the police handed over the body, beside postmortem report and inquest report to the Patna police on Monday evening.
