Govt Playing With Security of HC: BJP

The main Opposition party of the state, BJP, on Tuesday alleged the Hemant Soren-led INDIA bloc government in Jharkhand of providing faulty safety equipment for the security of constitutional body, Jharkhand High Court.

Pratul Shahdeo, BJP's spokesperson and son of former high court judge, LPN Shahdeo, levelled the allegation organising a press conference at the party's state headquarters in Harmu.

"The Hemant Soren government is playing with the security of Jharkhand High Court. After the land scam, tender scam, mining scam, there is security scam," Shahdeo said.

Shahdeo alleged the government purchased the equipment in February, 2024 without adopting any tender process and in June, 2024 it came to its knowledge that the safety equipment purchased were useless.
