RANCHI: State-run bacon factory in Kanke, which is closed since 1996 after malfunctioning of a capacitor of cooling unit worth hardly ₹25,000, will be revived.
State agriculture, animal husbandry and co-operative minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey shared the plan after her surprise visit to the factory on Tuesday.
"Discussions were held with CM Hemant Soren to revive this closed factory. As soon as this factory starts, people associated with pig farming will benefit," she said, talking to a section of the media after her visit.
Minister Tirkey also said: "Everything cannot be left to the trust of bureaucrats. We should work with our willpower and try to get positive results."
