Champai seeks CBI probe into encounter

Former chief minister and senior BJP legislator Champai Soren questioned the encounter of gangster Aman Sahu on Tuesday saying it was difficult to believe the police theory when he was being brought to Ranchi under heavy security cover and demanded a CBI probe into the incident, which came a day after the Question Hour was washed out in Assembly due to protest by the saffron party legislators over 'deteriorating' law and order issue in the state.
RANCHI: Former chief minister and senior BJP legislator Champai Soren questioned the encounter of gangster Aman Sahu on Tuesday saying it was difficult to believe the police theory when he was being brought to Ranchi under heavy security cover and demanded a CBI probe into the incident, which came a day after the Question Hour was washed out in Assembly due to protest by the saffron party legislators over 'deteriorating' law and order issue in the state.
Speaking to reporters outside the House, Soren also alleged that Sahu might have been neutralised by police to bury information that could have caused discomfort to some.
