Protests in state against terror attack in J&K; BSF on high alert

Protests were held in several parts of Rajasthan on Friday in response to an attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

JAIPUR: The demonstrations, led by Hindu outfits and the Sarv Hindu Samaj, resulted in partial shutdowns across various cities. In Jaipur, people from the Muslim community expressed their condolences for the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack after the prayers.

In Kota, Sikar, and Jhunjhunu, markets remained partially closed following a call for a bandh by the groups. The response to the call, however, was mixed. During the shutdown in Kota, members of Hindu organisations were involved in minor scuffles with some individuals while trying to enforce the closure of offices.
