NEET Aspirant Found Dead in Kota, 7th Suicide Case This Year

Police Said They Found No Suicide Note. However, the Student's WhatsApp Chats Suggest That He Was Under Stress Due to His Studies

JAIPUR: An 18-year-old student, who was preparing for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) for admission in undergraduate medical courses, was found dead in his rented accommodation in Kota district of Rajasthan on Tuesday, in the seventh such incident of suspected suicide in the coaching hub this year, police said.

Last year, 20 students preparing for various competitive examinations died by suicide in the district.

Station house officer of Kota's Dadabadi police station, Mangi Lal Yadav, said the student is a resident of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan and had come to Kota in 2023 to prepare for NEET and was living in a rented accommodation.
