Man held in Barmer for slashing wife’s throat with sword: Police

A man allegedly killed his wife by slitting her throat with a sword at Harsani village in Barmer district in early hours of Friday, police officers aware of the matter said, adding that the motive behind the murder remains unclear.
The accused, identified as Moim Khan, 37, attempted to flee to Jodhpur after killing Rahmat Moyla, 34. However, he was intercepted and taken into custody by police, said Manaram Garg, circle officer of Sheo.
Meanwhile, Rahmat's family members have also accused Khan’s family members of being involved in the murder.
