Hunt on for legislator's PA in bribery case: ACB

JAIPUR: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Rajasthan police has launched a manhunt to nab the absconding personal assistant of Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) legislator Jaikrishn Patel, who was caught red-handed while accepting a ₹20 lakh bribe from a mine owner, across four cities in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, an official said on Tuesday.
The investigating officer (IO) of the case, Sandeep Saraswat, said: "The ACB had a full-proof trap to nab the MLA red-handed. We were successful in our mission. But, soon after we caught him, his PA, Rohit, fled the crime scene with the money. On Monday, we have recovered the money from Rohit's uncle's place. But he is yet absconding."
"We have sent our teams in Rajasthan's Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, and also in Uttar Pradesh's Agra to catch him," he added.
