Cabinet minister Kirodi Lal Meena has once again put his own government in the dock, this time alleging that he is being snooped on for raising issues of corruption and criticising the Bhajan Lal Sharma-led government for not clamping down on cases of graft.

JAIPUR: In his latest outburst, Meena alleged that the government agencies are spying on him and his phone is being tapped.

While addressing a gathering at Amagarh temple near Jaipur on Thursday, Meena said, "During the previous Ashok Gehlot government, I raised my voice against corruption in the state. As a result, 50 station house officers were arrested. I hoped that when the BJP regime takes charge, corruption will end. I was wrong."

"When I asked that the sub-inspector (SI) exam be cancelled, the government did not heed to my request. Instead, the government has acted like the previous Congress government. CID officers are tailing me and my phone is being tapped," the BJP veteran said.

Meena, however, added that these actions did not affect him and he was unfazed.

"The (former CM Ashok) Gehlot government too tapped my phone, put the CID after me but I outsmarted them. I don't do anything illegal so I am not scared nor will I bend before anyone. I will always speak the truth," he said.
