From Japanese Shibori to anarkalis, dupattas, and even turbans in the Mughal era, crushed silk has always been associated with luxe and royalty. Now, this lightweight, versatile fabric has caught Bollywood's fancy, with actors Bhumi Pednekar, Sonam A Kapoor and Tabu sporting crushed silk lehengas, anarkalis and gowns.
