JAIPUR: A district session court in Ajmer has issued an arrest warrant against an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer along with 10 other government officials for allegedly vandalising a hotel and assaulting the staff during a farewell party late at night in June 2023, officials familiar with the matter said.

The court presided over by judge Manmohan Chandel on Monday stated that the officer did not co-operate in the investigation of the case and therefore an arrest warrant should be issued against them. "It is clear from the primary investigation report that the officers did not co-operate in the probe exploiting their position. The local administration also didn't inform the government about the matter despite the involvement of two top officers. An arrest warrant should hereby be issued on their name to ensure the smooth progress of the investigation," Chandel stated in his verdict.
