JAIPUR:

He added that with collective participation, Rajasthan will build a green and bright future in the energy sector, helping realise the vision of a prosperous and developed state.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of ReNew Power's 1.3 GWp solar energy plant in Pokhran, Jaisalmer, he said, "The establishment of this solar plant on the golden land of Jaisalmer will accelerate the state's efforts toward energy self-reliance. All electricity generated from this solar plant will be provided to Rajasthan's distribution companies at lower rates. This will ensure uninterrupted energy supply to consumers and set a benchmark for future projects."

"The plant is also expected to generate 1,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities," he said.

He further said that solar energy is environmentally friendly and the cleanest form of energy. "While reserves of other energy sources are limited, solar energy is inexhaustible and renewable. Every household has the potential to become a producer of solar energy," he said.
