CM gets life threat; SMS receives 6th bomb threat

JAIPUR: Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and state sports secretary Neeraj K Pawan received a threat on Thursday through an email that also threatened to blow up the Sawai Man Singh stadium, police said.

"The email was sent by an individual, Divij Prabhakara, to the official e-mail IDs of Sharma and Pawan. The person also threatened to blow up the SMS stadium. This is the sixth time in the last one week the stadium received such threat. The email was received at 4.12 am on Thursday," a senior officer from the Jaipur police commissionerate, concerned to the matter, said.

"Following the matter, security staff were increased for the CM, Pawan. The stadium premises was also thoroughly checked but nothing found so far," he further said, adding that a case has been registered. He said that the e-mail was sent from an [e-mail]. HT has seen a copy of the e-mail shared by the police.
