Bolster security across the state, CM directs cops

In the wake of India's air strike on terror camps in Pakistan, chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday issued strict directives to bolster security across the state, particularly along border areas.

Chairing a high-level meeting with senior police officials at the chief minister's office, Sharma emphasised the need for heightened vigilance and seamless coordination with the Union home ministry and central agencies.

Given Rajasthan's status as a border state, Sharma underscored the importance of maintaining the highest standards of security preparedness. "Since Rajasthan is a border state with Pakistan, the state's security system must be strengthened in accordance with the highest standards. In the current circumstances, anti-national elements may attempt to disrupt communal harmony in the state. The police must closely monitor social media and take swift action against those spreading rumours," he said.
