Assam: NDA candidates set to win uncontested

Three candidates backed by the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) from Assam filed their nominations for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections on Thursday, virtually ensuring an uncontested victory for the alliance as no opposition or independent candidates have submitted papers for the three seats so far.
The candidates include Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) nominees Jogen Mohan and Terash Gowalla, and United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) president Pramod B
