IRS Officer, His Associate Held for Accepting Bribe of ₹25 Lakh

CBI has arrested a senior 2007-batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, along with an associate, for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹25 lakh from a pizza chain owner, officials said Sunday.
NEW DELHI:
Amit Kumar Singal, additional director general at the Directorate of Taxpayer Services here, allegedly demanded a total bribe of ₹45 lakh to settle an income tax notice issued to Sanam Kapoor, owner of La Pino'z Pizza, they said.
