Authorities searched for evidence on Monday after a man with a makeshift flamethrower yelled "Free Palestine" and hurled an incendiary device into a group holding a rally to raise attention for Israeli hostages in Gaza.
COLORADO/WASHINGTON: Eight people were injured in the Sunday afternoon attack, some with burns.
The suspect, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, was booked into the Boulder County jail north of Denver and expected to face charges in connection with the attack the FBI was investigating as a terrorist act. His bond has been set at $10 million.
The 45-year-old is an Egyptian national, government officials confirmed to the BBC's broadcast partner, CBS News, in Colorado.
In 2022, Soliman arrived in California on a non-immigrant visa that expired in February 2023, sources have told CBS News. He had recently been living in Colorado Springs.
