Boy Refused to Call Kin for Ransom, Murdered

A 13-year-old boy was strangled allegedly after he refused to make a ransom call to his family in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor, officers aware of the matter said on Friday, adding that all five accused are minors and have been apprehended following a gunfight with police.

The victim's father lodged a complaint saying that his son left home in a fit of rage on Tuesday evening, and did not return, said Superintendent of Police Abhishek Jha.
