Union min Lalan Singh booked for ‘intimidating’ poll comment

The Patna district administration said on Tuesday an FIR has been registered against Union minister of panchayati raj and senior Janata Dal (United) leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh over his controversial comments during campaigning a day ago.
Rural SP Patna Aparajit Lohan said the case was filed under BNS sections 174 (punishment for undue influence or personation at an election), 223(A) (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), and 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and Section 123 (2) of the Representation of the People Act for alleged violations during the election process.
Lalan Singh was campaigning for arrested JD(U) candidate from Mokama, Anant Singh, officials said.
