Sister Shot At As Quarrel Among Siblings Turned Violent In Samastipur

A heated dispute between siblings over a minor issue took a violent turn on Wednesday morning in Tara Dhamaun village under Patori police station area of Samastipur district, when a man allegedly shot his own sister during an argument, police said.

Police further said that the incident occurred when Sumita Devi, who had come to her maternal home to visit her mother, tried to intervene in a quarrel between her two brothers — Dularchand Ram and Kanchan Ram. In a shocking turn of events, Kanchan reportedly went inside his house, brought out a pistol, and opened fire, hitting Sumita in her right thigh.
