NEW DELHI: The Indus Valley Annual Report, published by Blume Ventures, is a deep dive into the Indian macroeconomy, consumer, and the innovation ecosystem in the country. It has become one of the most highly anticipated reports on the economy — pored over by policy experts, economic analysts, and India watchers.

The lead author of the report is Sajith Pai and he spoke about it on a recent episode of Grand Tamasha, a weekly podcast on Indian politics and policy, co-produced by HT and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Pai is a partner at Blume Ventures, an early stage venture firm with offices in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and San Francisco, where he oversees consumer and India B2B investing. Pai had earlier spent two decades in various corporate strategy roles with the Times of India Group.
