COMPLAINANT OF ROBBERY CLAIMS ASSAULT BY COPS, PROBE ORDERED

A clerk of an inter-level college, who was allegedly subjected to custodial torture at Rampur Hari police station in Muzaffarpur district, was hospitalised on Wednesday.
The victim, Vishal Kumar (29), had gone to the police station to register a robbery plaint but was instead detained and allegedly assaulted.
Vishal, admitted to the hospital with multiple injury marks, claimed he was brutally assaulted by police personnel led by SHO Sujit Kumar Mishra on suspicion of being involved in the robbery.
