Five people, including a woman zila panchayat candidate, have been booked for allegedly disrupting the polling process in Bazpur block of Udham Singh Nagar district during the panchayat elections held on Thursday, officers aware of the matter said.

The police action was taken following a complaint filed by the presiding officer at the affected polling booth, they added.
