Specially abled SOL student: 'Crawled up' stairs to attend class
Hindustan Times Noida
|February 28, 2025
A physically challenged student of Delhi University (DU)'s School of Open Learning (SOL) has alleged that the Hansraj College administration did not provide her with a wheelchair nor access to a disabled-friendly washroom on Sunday, when SOL classes were held on that campus.
NEW DELHI:
She also said that in the absence of a lift, she had "to crawl her way up to her class on the second floor".
While college officials confirmed there were no lifts or stair chairs in the building where SOL classes were held, they stressed that had they been made aware of the matter, they would have provided all facilities to the student.
