Govt Includes Pakal Dul Dam Under Centre's Pragati Portal

The Pakal Dul hydroelectric project in Jammu & Kashmir has been included in the Pragati portal, a federal infrastructure platform, making it a project of national importance, an official aware of the development said on Thursday.
NEW DELHI:
The move comes days after the Centre notified a power transmission system for the project, which is being built on a tributary of the Chenab river. Projects recognised as being nationally important are directly monitored at the highest levels, which helps speedy approvals and seamless coordination between various departments and ministries.
