Flier Opens Evacuation Slide of Plane at IGI, Offloaded

An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Leh was delayed by more than three hours on Wednesday after a passenger on board opened an evacuation slide — an inflatable slide that is used during emergencies to quickly evacuate an aircraft — while the plane was still on the tarmac at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport, officials said.

The passenger was promptly handed over to the authorities, the officials said.
According to flight tracking website Flightradar24, the flight that was scheduled to take off at 8.10am, finally took off at 11.43am.
