AAP Confident of Poll Victory Despite Negative Predictions
Hindustan Times Noida
|February 08, 2025
For the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is seeking a fourth consecutive term in Delhi, Saturday's results will not only serve as a referendum on its governance but also on its standing as an anti-corruption crusader – a reputation it built 12 years ago and expanded over the years.
NEW DELHI:
On Wednesday, Delhi's 9.45 million voters out of the 15.6 million electorate sealed the verdict, with counting set to begin at 8am on Saturday. Multiple exit polls have predicted a comfortable edge for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), but AAP leaders have dismissed them, insisting they will return to power.
On Friday, AAP candidates and senior leaders gathered at Arvind Kejriwal's residence to strategise against possible defections in the event of a close contest.
