Country's industrial production shows strong resilience. Ouyang Shijia reports
-
China's robust 5.2 per cent economic expansion in the first three quarters has laid a solid foundation for achieving its full-year growth target, analysts say, as the world’s second-largest economy continues to show resilience with strong industrial production despite headwinds.
Growth momentum is expected to persist in the final three months of the year, supported by a potential new round of measures aimed at shoring up demand, spurring consumption and reviving confidence in the property market, they said.
Wang Qing, chief macroeconomic analyst with the agency Golden Credit Rating International, said, “We expect China's GDP growth to stabilise in the fourth quarter, driven by the implementation of growth-stabilising policies, enabling the country to smoothly achieve its full-year target of around 5 per cent.”

Watch your steppe
For Kazakhstan, don't listen to the influencers. They tend to be young, penniless students, enjoying the rupee's advantage over the tenge and India's visa-free status. (And the fact that a direct flight to Almaty, the biggest city, is barely three hours from Delhi)
