District court Kasauli on Wednesday has accepted closure report in the gangrape case registered against Haryana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Mohan Lal Badoli, 61, and singer Jai Bhagwan, popularly known as Rocky Mittal after a 28-year-old woman had alleged being raped by the duo in Kasauli in July 2023.

SHIMLA:

This comes few days after the woman failed to appear in the court during the hearing. The police had filed closure report on February 3 after it failed to get evidence in the case. The report, submitted to the Nalagarh court, highlighted several issues with the victim's allegations, including her refusal to undergo a medical examination, absence of CCTV footage and inconsistencies in statements.
