US stealth bombers, Iranian drones transform battlefield

|March 02, 2026
NEW DELHI/LONDON: Iran's attacks over the first day of combat have leaned heavily on drones and small-scale missile strikes, trends that could indicate either deliberate planning — or a breakdown in command and control, Bloomberg reported.
The US, on the other hand, unleashed Tomahawk cruise missiles, stealth fighters, and for the first time in combat, low-cost one-way attack drones modelled after Iranian designs, Reuters reported.
On Sunday, the US used four B-2A Spirit stealth bombers to dropp dozens of 2,000 pound bombs on underground ballistic missile sites in Iran, a US defence official told Fox News.
Rather than sustained volleys, attacks have been intermittent.
