UP Warriorz Ready To Exploit Home Conditions

With two wins in five matches so far, Deepti Sharma-led UP Warriorz are all set to make use of the conditions for the first time when they take on Gujarat Giants in the home-leg encounters of the Women's Premier League, starting Monday, at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium here.

Skipper Sharma as well as everyone on the side are excited to play before the home crowd for the first time. "We are extremely excited to play in our home stadium, and the team is raring to go. With your unwavering support, we are confident of being the best version of ourselves, as we go all out for qualification for the playoffs," Sharma said on the sideline of the team's welcome ceremony on Thursday.

"I urge the fans to arrive in huge numbers and fill the stadium to its brim. We are looking forward to seeing you all cheer from the stands and I promise that the team will give it their all on the field," she told fans at the KD Singh 'Babu' Stadium where young cricketers and fans greeted them with much enthusiasm.

After their match against Gujarat Giants on March 3, UP Warriorz, who are coached by Jon Lewis, take on the Mumbai Indians and the defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 6 and 8, respectively.
