March 09, 2025

With chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's visit to Delhi, there is speculation that the state cabinet expansion may take place soon, party leaders familiar with the matter said.

- HT Correspondent

DEHRADUN:

Apart from the vacancy created by Bageshwar MLA Chandan Ram Das' death in 2023, there are three existing vacancies in the cabinet which remained unfilled for three years after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came to power for the second consecutive time in 2022.

One of the party leaders, on condition of anonymity, said that the ministers who failed to "perform" might be dropped and replaced with new faces.

Currently, Satpal Maharaj, Prem Chand Aggarwal, Dhan Singh Rawat, Ganesh Joshi, Subodh Uniyal, Saurabh Bahuguna and Rekha Arya are ministers in the Dhami government.
