Mayank set to miss first half of IPL, Pant to celebrate Holi in Lucknow

Lucknow Super Giants' new captain and Team India keeper-batter Rishabh Pant is all set to celebrate Holi with his teammates here in Lucknow on Friday even though the team's fast bowler Mayank Yadav is set to miss the first half of the cash-rich Indian Premier League starting March 22.

LSG are set to play their first match of the season against Delhi Capitals on March 24 in Visakhapatnam and the team's training session is set to begin on Wednesday, at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium here under the guidance of head coach Justin Langer.

Besides Langer, assistant coach Lance Klusener, Vijay Dahiya and players like Ayush Badoni, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan, Aryan Juyal, Yuvraj Chaudhary, Abdul Samad, Himmat Singh, Siddharth M. Shamar Joseph, Akash Singh, Arshin Kulkarni, Digvesh Singh, Prince Yadav and Rajvardhan Hangargekar have already reached the state capital.

"In fact, the training was scheduled to start from Tuesday itself, but will now be starting Wednesday and skipper Pant is expected to join the side on Friday. We will celebrate Holi together," said a LSG insider on Tuesday.
