All cases to be moved to EOW to centralise probe

LUCKNOW: The number of FIRs registered by aggrieved investors of real estate developer Ansal API, in the state capital, has now reached 217. Of these, 204 FIRs have already been transferred to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) under the Lucknow Police Commissionerate.

The remaining FIRs are also likely to be transferred to the EOW by Saturday night for a consolidated investigation, deputy commissioner of police, south, Nipun Agarwal, said on Saturday.

The latest FIR, registered on June 19, 2025, at Sushant Golf City police station, accuses the company of encroaching on private land in Hasanpur Khevali, Sarojini Nagar.

According to the FIR, the complainant, Parikshit Bajpai, a resident of Gomti Nagar, alleged that on May 11, Ansal API's owner, Pranav Ansal, project head Rajesh Rao, and land officer Vinay Tiwari forcibly occupied his land (Gaata Nos. 48S, 103, 104, 105, and 106), which is legally recorded in his name, the FIR lodged on Jun 19, 2025, reads.
