Just two years ago, having a professional football club in a state like Uttar Pradesh remained a dream, but with the establishment of Inter Kashi in 2023-24 season, things have changed dramatically in terms of betterment of football and footballers of Uttar Pradesh.
LUCKNOW:
The club Inter Kashi is not only on the threshold of winning the I-League and subsequently graduating to the Indian Super League, if all technical issues are solved and favour the club by the end of this month, it has plans to expand its talent search programme beyond Uttar Pradesh for the first time.
An Indian professional football club based in Varanasi, Inter Kashi is in collaboration with Spanish club Atlético Madrid and Andorran club Inter Escaldes, and the reason behind expending the talent search plan is non-availability of desired talent in the state.
