AGRA: In a joint operation conducted by the Special Operations Group (SOG) and Kosi Kalan police, a gangster carrying a reward of ₹25,000 was arrested following an encounter on Thursday night.

The accused, identified as Rohit, sustained injuries during the operation.

According to the media cell of Mathura police, Rohit was wanted in connection with case No. 574/2025, registered at Beta 2 Police Station in Gautam Buddh Nagar under Section 2(b)(1)/3 of the Gangsters Act.

Rohit and his associates were involved in the robbery of a car and cash in Gautam Buddh Nagar in May 2025.

A case was subsequently filed under the Gangsters Act, and the Noida Police Commissionerate announced a reward of ₹25,000 for information leading to his arrest on June 19, 2025.

On Thursday night, Rohit was reportedly heading toward Mathura to collect payment for illegal arms he had sold to a criminal in Kotwan when he was intercepted and arrested.
