Court Pulls Up Defence For Delay Tactics In 2020 Riots Case

A Delhi court has pulled up the defence in a 2020 Delhi riots case for attempting to delay the trial, calling the move "convenient" and unwarranted at an advanced stage of proceedings.
NEW DELHI: Additional sessions judge Praveen Singh of Karkardooma Court, who recently took over the case, rejected an application by advocate Mehmood Pracha seeking to recall a prosecution witness for further cross-examination.
