A protest over the recently enacted Waqf (Amendment) Act turned violent in Murshidabad district of West Bengal on Tuesday, when a mob allegedly attacked police vehicles and pelted stones leaving the DSP and several officials injured, police said, adding that over 20 people have been detained and prohibitory orders have been enforced in the area.
