The Supreme Court on Wednesday favoured appointing a special public prosecutor for the trial against former Tamil Nadu minister V Senthil Balaji in the cash-for-jobs scam observing that in a case involving a powerful politician, there is a public perception that a prosecutor appointed by government may not be allowed to do justice.
