Mulani guides Mumbai to win
Hindustan Times Delhi
|October 19, 2025
Shams Mulani produced a superb all-round performance to help Mumbai clinch an outright win over hosts Jammu & Kashmir in their Ranji Trophy game in Srinagar on Saturday.
After scoring 91 and 41 in the two essays, the left-arm spinner produced a match-winning bowling performance with a seven-wicket haul in J&K’s second innings to play a pivotal role in Mumbai's 35-run win.
Chasing a target of 243, J&K started the final day needing 222 runs with nine wickets in hand, but Mulani extinguished the home team’s hopes by bundling them out for 207 in 64.4 overs. Out of Mulani’s seven victims, five were bowled, including J&K captain Paras Dogra, as he finished with brilliant figures of 20.4-4-46-7 for his 17th five-wicket haul in first-class cricket.
