Ex-BJD MLA among II held for killing BJP leader

Former Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLA Bikram Panda, former Berhampur mayor Siba Shankar Das and 10 others were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the October 6 murder of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pitabas Panda, officials said.
Panda (52), senior lawyer and a member of the Odisha Bar Council, was shot dead by two motorcycle-borne men near his residence in Berhampur area of Ganjam district, police said.
