BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh tribal affairs minister Vijay Shah, who was booked for making derogatory remarks against Colonel Sofiya Qureshi in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor, on Tuesday landed in a fresh controversy after photos and videos of his meeting with a gang rape victim's family were widely circulated on social media.
The BJP leader, who had kept a low profile over the past two weeks after an FIR was registered against him over his derogatory remarks, on Tuesday met the family of a 45-year-old woman, who was gang-raped and murdered on May 23 by two men in Khandwa district. The minister, who was accompanied by his wife, handed over ₹60,000 to the victim's family and assured them of justice.
